GIRLS BASKETBALL: Tyrell, Cougars grab share of first in Southeast League

Haley Tyrell had 14 points, six assists, four rebounds and three steals Friday to help Coronado's girls basketball team to a 52-44 win over visiting Foothill.

Talia Sapp added 13 points and four rebounds for the Cougars, who trailed 25-24 at the half. Payton Caci had seven points, nine rebounds and four steals for Coronado, which moved into a three-way tie with Foothill and Green Valley for first place in the Southeast League.

Katey Roquemore led the Falcons with 16 points, and teammates Kylie Vint and Trinity Betoney each scored eight.

Rancho 50, Eldorado 43 — At Eldorado, Tatianna Lee had 21 points to lead the Rams by the Sundevils.

Maureen Macato added nine points for Rancho, which led 25-17 at the half.

DeAsia Walker led Eldorado with 23 points.

Canyon Springs 74, Valley 54 — At Canyon Springs, Alexia Thrower had 22 points and 14 rebounds as the Pioneers pulled away from the Vikings.

Aleza Bell added 22 points and nine assists for Canyon Springs, which led 37-35 at the half.

Hannah Gebreyesus and Sandra Scroggins each had 12 points, and teammate Almond Slayton scored 10 for Valley.

Liberty 83, Silverado 62 — At Liberty, Taylor Turney had 27 points and 10 assists to help the Patriots top the Skyhawks.

Celine Quintino added 12 points, 13 assists and five steals, and London Pavlica scored 11 points for Liberty, which got 12 rebounds from Nancy Caballero.

Deja Siaki led Silverado with 29 points. Araianna Moon added 13 points, and Japrea Edwards scored 10 for the Skyhawks.

Cimarron-Memorial 56, Bonanza 21 — At Cimarron, Tasia Moore had 13 points, 10 rebounds and six steals to help the Spartans by the Bengals.

Amoura Whitney had 18 points, five assists and four steals, and Ashli Tyus had 15 points, four steals and three assists for Cimarron, which led 24-10 at halftime.

Maysan Raleigh led Bonanza with six points.

Centennial 71, Arbor View 32 — At Arbor View, Samantha Thomas had 21 points as the Bulldogs rolled by the Aggies.

Eboni Walker added 16 points for Centennial, which led 49-13 at halftime. Justice Ethridge and Pam Wilmore each scored eight points for Centennial.

Autumn Westmoreland led Arbor View with eight points.

Green Valley 68, Basic 24 — At Basic, Brooke Haney had 19 points as the Gators routed the Wolves.

Ashly Gale-Fernandez added eight points for Green Valley, which had 12 players score and built a 39-9 halftime lead.

Amanda Sanchez paced Basic with six points.

Lincoln County 59, Lake Mead 16 — At Lake Mead, Kailey Kelley had 16 points and five rebounds as the Lynx routed the Eagles.

Brynlee Wadsworth added 13 points and four steals for Lincoln County.

Jacea Tillman led Lake Mead with eight points.

Needles 57, The Meadows 27 — At The Meadows, Brooklyn McCorkle scored 12 points to help Needles rout The Meadows.

Brenna Chavez, Jasmine Mejia and Preslee Murch each added nine points for Needles, which led 24-1 after the first quarter and 37-1 at the half.

Kaiya Massey led The Meadows with 11 points. Marcella Peek grabbed 12 rebounds, and Talia Steinwald had 10 rebounds for The Meadows.

White Pine 60, Mountain View 19 — At Mountain View, Ashlyn Huntington had 16 points as the Bobcats routed the Saints.

Debra Kingston added 15 points for White Pine.

Tayah De'Bouck led Mountain View with 13 points.

Agassi Prep 71, Calvary Chapel 38 — At Calvary Chapel, Destiny Rover had 18 points to lead the Stars by the Lions.

Denise Parker added 14 points for Agassi.

Malia Lee led Calvary Chapel with 14 points.

Laughlin 41, Mohave Accelerated 24 — At Laughlin, Amanda Miller scored 14 points to lift the Cougars over the Patriots.

Teresa Chapa added 10 poiints, and Nicole Petrich had eight points for Laughlin, which led 17-6 at halftime.

Beaver Dam 35, Sandy Valley 34 — At Sandy Valley, the Diamondbacks nipped the Sidewinders.

Round Mountain 64, Word of Life 18 — At the Durango YMCA, the Knights routed the Eagles.
