GIRLS BASKETBALL: Silcox powers Panthers to win over Longhorns

Paulina Silcox scored 31 points, including the go-ahead basket with four seconds remaining in the game Thursday, to lift Palo Verde’s girls basketball team to a 58-55 win over visiting Legacy.

Silcox gave the Panthers a 56-55 lead before Legacy committed a turnover and was called for a technical foul.

Aviona Clark scored 10 points to lead the Longhorns.

Sierra Vista 39, Pahrump Valley 37 — At Sierra Vista, Iymoni Burrell scored 12 points as the Mountain Lions edged the Trojans.

Kennedy Nieves added eight points and eight rebounds. Nieves scored Sierra Vista’s final three points, all from the free-throw line.

Andi Bishop and Jill Smith each scored 10 points to lead Pahrump.

Boulder City 54, Sunrise Mountain 38 — At Sunrise Mountain, Megan Morton scored 23 points to lead the Eagles to a win over the Miners.

Katlyn Daly scored 14 points for Boulder City, which used a 20-8 fourth-quarter spurt to pull away.

Nina Carpenter had 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Tyrah Lee supplied seven points, 11 rebounds and six blocked shots for Sunrise Mountain. Ayla Diaz added 10 points for the Miners.

Clark 46, Western 34 — At Clark, Bobbi Floyd had 29 points and 14 rebounds to power the Chargers past the Warriors.

Karlicia Stroughter scored 12 points, and Shyanne Carter-Wade grabbed 16 rebounds for Clark.

Destiny Gonzalez paced Western with 19 points.

Durango 46, Shadow Ridge 37 — At Shadow Ridge, Vonie Thomas scored 12 points to help the Traiblazers top the Mustangs.

Brittany Romo added 11 points, and Aylin Ponce scored 10 for Durango.

Ciera DaPra led Shadow Ridge with 11 points.

Desert Pines 47, Tech 28 — At Tech, Jordan Bailey scored 16 points to lead the Jaguars past the Roadrunners.

See’Airrah Evans-Collins had 13 points, seven rebounds and six steals for Desert Pines, which led 25-9 at the half.

Clarissa Szluha scored 12 points to lead Tech.

Faith Lutheran 68, Mojave 49 — At Faith Lutheran, Haley Vinson scored 24 points to lead the Crusaders past the Rattlers.

Madison Bocobo added 16 points for Faith Lutheran.

Charleea Armstrong scored 26 points to lead Mojave.

Chaparral 68, Del Sol 39 — At Chaparral, Taij Criss-Felton scored 32 points to lead the Cowboys by the Dragons.

Marcia Hawkins added 15 points, and Jade Hazelton scored 10 for Chaparral, which led 35-21 at halftime.

Azhwalaee Oliver led Del Sol with 16 points, and teammate Astrid Rodriguez added 12 points.

Spring Valley 73, Cheyenne 33 — At Spring Valley, Essence Booker had 17 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds to lead the Grizzlies past the Desert Shields.

Kayla Harris added 13 points, seven rebounds and six assists, and Jessica Rafay scored 11 points for Spring Valley. Lynnae Wilds added 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies.

Bria Buchanan scored 12 points, and Alexcia Weatherly added 11 points for Cheyenne.

Pahranagat Valley 60, Adelson School 19 — At Adelson, Madalyn Taylor scored 14 points, and the Panthers led 22-3 after one quarter en route to the easy win.

Jamie Hansen added 13 points, and Kalli Hosier scored 11 for Pahranagat Valley, which limited the Lions to four field goals.

Camryn Armstrong had 10 points for Adelson.
