GIRLS BASKETBALL: Morton powers Boulder City to win in Nighthawk Classic

Megan Morton had 29 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals Monday to help Boulder City's girls basketball team to a 57-35 win over Elsinore (Calif.) in the Nighthawk Classic in Murrieta, Calif.

Julia Worrall added 11 points and 15 rebounds, and Hannah Estes scored 11 for Boulder City.

Bishop Gorman 60, Sierra Canyon (Calif.) 47 — At San Diego, Madison Washington and Raychel Stanley each scored 17 points to power the Gaels by the Trailblazers in the SoCal Holiday Prep Classic.

Megan Jacobs added 12 points for Bishop Gorman, which led 26-25 at halftime.

Ryann Payne had 23 points for Sierra Canyon.

Sierra Vista 51, La Mirada (Calif.) 49 — At Anaheim, Calif., Danielle Morrow's stick-back basket with one second lifted the Mountain Lions over the Matadors in the Lady Rebel Holiday Tournament.

Morrow had 12 points, and Kayla Barnum added nine points and 13 rebounds for Sierra Vista.

Gabby Domingo and Lauryn Jordan each had 11 points for La Mirada.

Bryce Valley (Utah) 44, Lincoln County 31 — At Cedar City, Utah, Danielle Brinkerhoff scored 13 points to lead the Mustangs by the Lynx in the Steve Hodson Classic.

Jailine Vasquez added 12 points for Bryce Valley, which led 28-11 at halftime.

Kailey Kelley led Lincoln County with seven points, and teammate Kristal Jackson had six points, five rebounds and five blocked shots.

Etiwanda (Calif.) 64, Legacy 15 — At Ontario, Calif., the Eagles began the game on a 25-2 run and routed the Longhorns in the West Coast Holiday Festival.

C'Aree Stevenson led Legacy with eight points.

Summit (Calif.) 61, Legacy 34 — At Ontario, Calif., The SkyHawks opened the game on an 18-1 run and routed the the Longhorns.

TaEha Pankey had 11 points for Legacy.
