GIRLS BASKETBALL: Kirby’s 32 points lift Diamondbacks over Rams in OT

Mikala Kirby scored 10 of her game-high 32 points in overtime to lift Desert Oasis’ girls basketball team to a 65-56 road win over Rancho on Tuesday.

Taryn Lampkin added 17 points for Desert Oasis, which outscored Rancho 13-4 in the extra period.

LaKissa Martin led the Rams with 31 points. Tatianna Lee scored 14 for Rancho, which outscored Desert Oasis 15-10 in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Eldorado 46, Silverado 41 — At Eldorado, Deasia Walker had 20 points, eight rebounds and six steals as the Sundevils rallied to overcome the Skyhawks.

Daria Lomasny added 10 points for Eldorado, which trailed 19-14 at halftime but outscored Silverado 13-8 in the third quarter to tie the game.

Silverado’s Monet Salazar had 16 points, and Deja Siaki scored 13 for the Skyhawks.

Durango 50, Cimarron-Memorial 43 — At Durango, Jazmin Chavez had 22 points, 10 rebounds and eight steals as the Trailblazers topped the Spartans.

Brittany Romo added nine points and seven rebounds for Durango, and teammate Rianne Lu grabbed 11 rebounds.

Cimarron’s Shauntel Efferson had 13 points, and Ashli Tyus scored 12 for the Spartans.

Bonanza 42, Legacy 37 — At Legacy, Alyssa Powers scored 15 points as the Bengals topped the Longhorns.

Legacy led 18-15 at the half, but Bonanza outscored the Longhorns 15-4 in the third quarter.

Brooklyn Savage added 11 points for the Bengals.

Tamya Blackwell led Legacy with 10 points.

Arbor View 48, Shadow Ridge 27 — At Shadow Ridge, Ariona Gill scored 10 points to lead the Aggies past the Mustangs.

Tiffani Smith and Janae Strode each added seven points for Arbor View, which led 30-11 at halftime.

Amira King led Shadow Ridge with six points.

Liberty 72, Basic 31 — At Basic, Kealy Brown scored 15 points to help the Patriots top the Wolves.

Nancy Caballero had 13 points, and Kaily Kaimikaua added 12 points for Liberty, which raced to a 44-19 halftime lead.

Dana Deloney had 17 points, and Jayla Brown scored 10 for Basic.

Centennial 76, Palo Verde 37 — At Palo Verde, Karina Brandon and Tanjanae Wells each scored 13 points to help the Bulldogs claim a victory over the Panthers.

Justice Ethridge added 11 points for Centennial, which jumped out to a 47-20 halftime advantage.

Paulina Silcox scored 18 points to lead Palo Verde.

Green Valley 69, Valley 23 — At Green Valley, Gwen Garcia scored 13 points to help the Gators to victory over the Vikings.

Yamilei Rodriguez had 10 points and Brooke Haney added eight points for Green Valley, which had 12 players score.

Hannah Geberyesus and Dajaah Lightfoot each scored six points for Valley.

Coronado 66, Las Vegas 32 — At Coronado, Dajah Washington had 18 points, eight steals and five assists as the Cougars rolled past the Wildcats.

Samantha Green added 10 points and eight rebounds for Coronado, which got 10 points from Karlie Thorn. Kayla Watterson added eight points and 10 rebounds for the Cougars.

Teconna Dyer led Las Vegas with nine points.

Laughlin 39, Indian Springs 21 — At Indian Springs, Brittany Schelper scored 14 points as the Cougars beat the Thunderbirds.

Kayla Nelson added 10 points for Laughlin, which led 33-9 after three quarters.
