GIRLS BASKETBALL: Falcons top Coronado, clinch Southeast League crown

Rae Burrell had 15 points and 11 rebounds Tuesday as Foothill's girls basketball team secured the Southeast League title with a 57-36 win over visiting Coronado.

Trinity Betoney had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Falcons, who led 27-9 at the half.

Haley Tyrell led the Cougars with 16 points.

Green Valley 58, Basic 32 — At Green Valley, Ashly Gale-Fernandez scored 16 points to help guide the Gators by the Wolves.

Yamilei Rodriguez added 10 points for Green Valley, which raced to a 36-13 halftime advantage.

Ariel Hamilton led Basic with 15 points.

Rancho 65, Eldorado 41 — At Rancho, Maureen Macato scored 28 points as the Rams ran away from the Sundevils.

Tatiana Lee added 18 points and eight steals for Rancho, which led 33-18 at the half.

DeAsia Walker led Eldorado with 18 points, and Kiana Parkes had 10 points for the Sundevils.

Canyon Springs 57, Valley 51 — At Valley, Alexia Thrower scored 32 points as the Pioneers edged the Vikings.

D'Licya Feaster added 10 points for Canyon Springs, which led 34-32 after three quarters.

Almond Slayton had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Valley, which got seven points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots from Eimainei Thomas-Palmer.

Cimarron-Memorial 63, Bonanza 27 — At Bonanza, Niara Smith had 19 points as the Spartans routed the Bengals.

Tasia Moore added 16 points, and Chardonae Alston had 12 points for Cimarron, which led 34-14 at the half.

Arkeisha Sankey led Bonanza with 10 points.

Liberty 107, Silverado 68 — At Silverado, Kaily Kaimikaua hit nine 3-pointers and scored 31 points as the Patriots topped the Skyhawks.

Kaimikaua hit four 3-pointers in the second quarter as the Patriots outscored Silverado 31-18 to take a 56-39 lead.

Taylor Turney added 22 points, seven rebounds and 13 assists for Liberty. Celine Quintino had eight points, five rebounds and 11 assists for the Patriots, and Nancy Caballero and Gabby Doxtator added 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Centennial 79, Arbor View 34 — At Centennial, Samantha Thomas had 21 points as the Bulldogs rolled past the Aggies.

Bailey Thomas added 14 points, and teammate Pam Wilmore scored 10 for the Bulldogs, who outscored Arbor View 40-13 in the second half.

Katrina Nordstrom led the Aggies with nine points.

White Pine 54, Lincoln County 50 — At Ely, Emily Bischoff scored 14 points, and the Bobcats went 22-for-35 from the free-throw line to defeat the Lynx.

Britney Kingston added 12 points, and teammate Ashlyn Huntington scored 11 for White Pine.

Savannah Harr led Lincoln County with 22 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals.

Agassi Prep 59, Laughlin 49 — At Laughlin, Sharmayne Finley scored 20 points as the Stars downed the Cougars.

Destiny Rover had 16 points, and teammate Denise Parker added 10 points for Agassi, which outscored Laughlin 34-23 in the middle quarters.

Amanda Miller scored 13 points, and teammate Teresa Chapa had 12 points for the Cougars.

Mountain View 51, Lake Mead 24 — At Mountain View, Tayah De'Bouck had 24 points to lead the Saints by the Eagles.

Mia Shingles added 16 points for Mountain View, which used a 31-1 run in the middle quarters to widen its lead.

Jacea Tillman led Lake Mead with nine points.

Calvary Chapel 59, The Meadows 47 — At The Meadows, Malia Lee had 25 points to lead the Lions by the Mustangs.

Kaitlin Harris had nine points for Calvary Chapel, which used a 39-24 run in the middle quarters to take control.

Marcella Peek led The Meadows with 15 points and 16 rebounds. Tahsin Najmi added 12 points, and Kaiya Massey scored 10 for The Meadows.

Beatty 50, Word of Life 22 — At Beatty, Maggie Cathcart and Alexia Gil each scored 15 points to help the Hornets top the Eagles.

Denise Gonzalez added 10 points for Beatty, which led 20-5 after one quarter.

Ayanna Banks paced Word of Life with 10 points.
