GIRLS BASKETBALL: Chavez, Mustangs edge White Pine

Brenna Chavez scored 13 points Saturday to lead Needles' girls basketball team to a 34-31 home victory over White Pine.

Jayne Antone added nine points for the Mustangs, who led 10-6 at the half and 22-21 after three quarters.

White Pine took a four-point lead at one point in the fourth quarter before the Mustangs rallied.

Ashlyn Huntington had 10 points to lead the Bobcats.

Agassi Prep 63, Mountain View 34 — At Mountain View, Destiny Rover had 16 points, five assists and five steals to lead the Stars over the Saints.

Sharmayne Finley added 14 points, five assists and four steals, and Denise Parker had 11 points, five assists and three steals for Agassi. Shayla Rachels grabbed 10 rebounds for the Stars.

Tayah De'Bouck led Mountain View with 15 points, and Mia Shingles scored 13 for the Saints.

Lincoln County 54, Laughlin 11 — At Laughlin, the Lynx opened the game on a 36-2 run and routed the Cougars.

Savannah Harr had 16 points, five rebounds and five steals for Lincoln County, which led 19-0 after one quarter. Hannah Hafen added 12 points and eight rebounds, and Easton Tingey scored 12 for the Lynx.

Teresa Chapa had eight points for Laughlin, which made just two field goals.
