GIRLS BASKETBALL: Chaparral uses big fourth quarter in road win over Del Sol

Sierra Shaw scored nine points to lead Chaparral’s girls basketball team to a 28-24 road win over Del Sol on Thursday.

Tiara Martin and Alexandria Williams each added seven points for the Cowboys, who outscored Del Sol 9-5 in the fourth quarter to break a 19-19 tie.

Hope Yaw led Del Sol with 12 points.

Coronado 37, Crossroads (Calif.) 35 — At Santa Monica, California, Haley Tyrell had 13 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and six steals as the Cougars edged the Roadrunners.

Teagan Varrati added eight points and four rebounds for Coronado, and teammate Payton Caci had seven points, four rebounds, four assists and five steals.

Madison Quan led Crossroads with 10 points.

Canyon Springs 56, Rancho 43 — At Rancho, Jeanette Fine scored 20 points, and the Pioneers used a 22-9 fourth quarter run to get past the Rams.

Yemiyah Morris had 10 points, and Ke’Ajanae Haley added eight points for Canyon Springs.

Kyndal Ricks scored 19 points to lead Rancho, and teammate Alesse Hall had 16 points for the Rams.

Las Vegas 55, Clark 36 — At Las Vegas, Armonnie Byrd had nine points and 16 rebounds to lead the Wildcats by the Chargers.

Jasmine Perez added 14 points, and Xeda Regala scored eight for Las Vegas, which led 25-13 at halftime.

Marieka Dent led Clark with 15 points.

Sierra Vista 56, Durango 37 — At Sierra Vista, Iymoni Burrell led the Mountain Lions with 16 points as they rolled by the Trailblazers.

Danielle Morrow scored 13 for the Mountain Lions, who led 20-7 after the first quarter.

Analiyah Matthews led all scorers with 19 points for Durango.

Virgin Valley 49, Tech 23 — At Mesquite, Bernice Fiso scored 14 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Roadrunners.

Briana Todd added 11 points, and Abbie Barnum scored six for Virgin Valley, which led 20-3 after the first quarter.

Patrice Thomas led Tech with 11 points.

Bishop Gorman 63, Bonanza 21 — At Bishop Gorman, Caira Young scored 13 points as the Gaels routed the Bengals.

Samantha Coleman added nine points for the Gaels, who led 38-4 at halftime.

Madie Gonzalez scored 10 for the Bengals.

Valley 52, Eldorado 29 — At Valley, Juezel Pollins scored 14 points to lead the Vikings past the Sundevils.

Sondra Scroggins had 10 points, and Kiara Brown added eight points and 12 rebounds for Valley, which led 25-12 at halftime.

Kiana Parkes scored 16 points to lead Eldorado.

Needles 60, Calvary Chapel 28 — At Calvary Chapel, Jayne Antone scored 13 points to lead the Mustangs by the Lions.

Brenna Chavez and Paige Murch each added eight points for Needles, which led 43-11 at halftime.

Malia Lee led all scorers with 15 points for Calvary Chapel.

Agassi Prep 69, Adelson School 18 — At Adelson School, Sharmayne Finley scored 15 points as the Stars routed the Lions.

Destiny Rover had 14 points, Sydnei Collier added 13, and Denise Parker scored 10 for Agassi Prep, which started the game on a 31-8 run.

Raeanna Crowley led Adelson School with seven points.
