2013-14 record: 5-22 (1-9 Northwest, fifth)

Returning letter winners (starters): Nine (three)

Top players: F Kennedy Nieves (Jr.), F Danielle Morrow (So.), G Kelsey Jimenez (Sr.)

Outlook: The Mountain Lions struggled to find success last season, but bring back nine letter winners.

Nieves (9.7 points, 5.4 rebounds per game), Morrow (5.4 ppg, 3.5 rpg) and Jimenez (5.2 ppg) are expected to be among the leaders on a team that should be in contention for a postseason berth in the Sunset League.

“We had a very young team last year and are hoping to see improvement,” Whalen said.
