Williams scores four TDs, Stars top Lynx

Agassi Prep senior Kobe Williams rushed for 175 yards and scored four touchdowns Friday to lead the Stars to a 35-8 win over Lincoln County at Rancho.

Agassi Prep (2-1, 1-0 Division III Southern) drove 61 yards on eight plays, capped by a 7-yard run by Williams to take a 7-9 first-quarter lead.

Late in the secord quarter, quarterback Kameron Burrell connected with Williams on 51-yard touchdown pass to give the Stars a 14-0 advantage. Lincoln County (1-2, 0-1) then drove to the Agassi Prep 1-yard line just before halftime but was unable to score. The Stars defense held the Lynx to 26 rushing yards during the first half.

The Stars broke open the game during the third quarter when Williams scored twice on runs of 11 and 36 yards. Stephan Lauschaul, who rushed for 104 yards, finished the scoring for Agassi Prep with a 70-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter.O’Connor finished with 63 yards passing but threw two interceptions in the game.

Lincoln County was more successful moving the ball in the fourth quarter behind leading rusher Preston Robbins, who finished with 75 yards. The Lynx scored their lone touchdown on a 14-yard run by Will Culverwell, and quarterback McClane O’Connor ran in the 2-point conversion. O’Connor finished with 63 passing yards but threw two interceptions.
