Snyder named interim coach at Cimarron-Memorial

Dave Snyder was named the interim head football coach at Cimarron-Memorial on Monday.

Snyder, who was an assistant coach at the school, last was a head coach at Legacy, where he had a 40-40 record in eight season. He also has guided Cheyenne and Canyon Springs' football programs.

Cimarron principal Lori Lawson Sarabyn announced Snyder's appointment Monday and said Snyder will be the interim coach for the remainder of the season.

Snyder replaces John Parcells, who was removed as coach Friday after the Spartans opened the season with a 38-0 loss at Cheyenne on Thursday night.

"We thank coach John Parcells for all of his hard work and dedication to the students and staff at Cimarron-Memorial during his tenure as head football coach," Lawson Sarabyn said in a statement.
