Lindsey, Radley-Hiles to transfer from Gorman

Bishop Gorman's football team will be looking for its eighth consecutive state championship next season, but the Gaels will have to do it without a couple of key players.
Tyjon Lindsey, a four-star prospect in the class of 2017 on ESPN.com, and Brendan Radley-Hiles, a top defensive back in the class of 2018, who are cousins, announced their plans to transfer to an unknown California school on Thursday via Twitter.
Lindsey, a 5-foot-9-inch wide receiver/defensive back, caught 45 passes for 1,117 yards and 14 touchdowns last season. He was a first-team all-state selection by the Review-Journal.
"After lengthy talks with my immediate family, my god family (The Martell family), coaches, and friends, I have decided to move back to California with my immediate family members. This most certainly have (sic) nothing to do at all with sports," Lindsey said in a statement on Twitter.
Lindsey, who holds offers from the likes of Ohio State, Oregon, Southern California, Texas A&M and UCLA, has lived with Gorman quarterback Tate Martell — a Texas A&M commit — and his family in Las Vegas since 2014 after both players transferred from Poway, Calif. The Martells were Lindsey's guardians.
Radley-Hiles, who missed considerable time with an injury in the fall, was expected to have an increased role as a junior for Gorman.
Last season, he finished with 106 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and had 14 tackles and an interception. Radley-Hiles recently was offered a scholarship by Arizona.
"After a huge thought process & countless prayers with my mother, brothers and cousin, Tyjon, I would like to announce that I will be transferring out of Bishop Gorman. God has a plan for me and I cannot wait to see what he has in store for my future," Radley-Hiles said in a statement on Twitter.
It is unknown whether Lindsey and Radley-Hiles will transfer to the same school in California.
Gorman coach Kenny Sanchez could not immediately be reached for comment Thursday.
