Centennial flexes muscles, beats Cimarron-Memorial

Centennial quarterback Jamaal Evans completed 10 of 15 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns, and added a rushing TD to power the No. 8 Bulldogs over Cimarron-Memorial, 48-6 on the road Friday night.
Evans scored on an option keeper from seven yards out to open the scoring, and connected with Tre Hardy on a 36-yard scoring reception to make it 14-6 at the half.
The Bulldogs (2-2, 1-0 Northwest League) scored on five of their six second-half possessions while holding Cimarron (1-3, 0-1) scoreless.
Centennial’s Vlad Plotnikov hauled in a 32-yard TD strike from Evans on the Bulldogs’ first drive of the second half, and capped the scoring with a 36-yard carry with 8:13 in the fourth quarter.
Keshuan Williams-Brown supplied a 47-yard TD scamper, and teammate Kayvon Miller had a 3-yard TD plunge for Centennial, which got a 24-yard scoring catch from Savon Scarver.
Scarver finished with three catches for 62 yards. Miller rushed for 60 yards on 11 carries.
Cimarron’s Gunner Stevenson had a 4-yard TD rush, and running back Tyreese Tyler filled in for the injured Tyree Riley and had 57 yards on 18 rushes for the Spartans.
