Branscum helps Eagles defeat Del Sol

Logan Branscum had a 55-yard touchdown run and a 42 yard touchdown catch in the first half Friday to lead Boulder City’s football team to a 48-20 win at Del Sol.

The Eagles (3-1, 1-0 Sunrise League) capitalized on three Del Sol fumbles to build a 36-14 halftime lead.

Branscum finished with 81 yards on seven carries. BC quarterback Trenton Carmell completed 5 of 10 passes for 75 yards and a score. He rushed for TDs of 19 and 6 yards.

Zach Murphy had a 35-yard fumble return for a score for the Eagles, and teammate Nelson Van Diest rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.

Rashaun Lawson scored on a 25-yard run and hooked up with Jay Peete for a 31-yard TD strike for the Dragons (3-1, 1-1).
