Berkley tosses three TD passes as The Meadows routs Calvary Chapel

Jack Berkley threw for three touchdowns and ran for a score on Friday as The Meadows opened Division III Southern League play with a 46-0 win over host Calvary Chapel in a game that was stopped midway through the third quarter by agreement of both coaches.

Berkley completed 7 of 14 passes for 205 yards and ran for 53 yards on 14 carries for the Mustangs (1-1).

Thayne Carlson's 2-yard run less than three minutes into the game got the Mustangs on the board.

Berkley completed scoring passes of 55 yards to Ethan Fridman, 16 yards to Adam Martinez and 25 yards to Asheesh Chopra to up the lead to 26-0 midway through the second quarter.

Gabe Adamson, Berkley and Carlson added TD runs to cap the scoring.

Calvary Chapel (0-2), which started four freshmen and has just 16 players, was backed up much of the night due to high snaps and sacks.
