FLAG FOOTBALL: Lucero, Cougars top Cowboys in double OT

Heaven Lucero’s 5-yard touchdown pass to Katie Downs in the second overtime Wednesday lifted host Coronado’s flag football team to a 13-7 win over Chaparral.

Lucero also threw a 55-yard scoring pass to Jodi Allen in the first half for the Cougars, who stopped the Cowboys inside the 20-yard line three times in the second half and on both overtime drives.

Cimarron-Memorial 44, Desert Oasis 12 — At Desert Oasis, Jaymee Luke ran for three scores and threw three touchdown passes as the Spartans routed the Diamondbacks.

Luke completed 20 of 25 passes for 251 yards and rushed for 136 yards on nine carries.

Logan DeLong caught 10 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown for Cimarron, which also got receiving TDs from DeShan Cambrit and Rosie Del Rosario.

Kylee Bauer ran for one touchdown and tossed a scoring pass to Shonda Badayos for Desert Oasis.

Boulder City 20, Rancho 7 — At Rancho, Kinsey Smyth caught a touchdown pass and ran for a score to lift the Eagles by the Rams.

Smyth caught five passes for 85 yards and ran for 24 yards on three carries.

Jeanne Carmell threw two scoring passes, one to Makenzy Waldo, for Boulder City.

Arbor View 32, Bonanza 19 — At Bonanza, Kayla Stephens caught five passes for 105 yards and a touchdown to help the Aggies top the Bengals.

Green Valley 25, Eldorado 6 — At Eldorado, Adelia Sigala threw for 172 yards and two touchdowns and ran for two scores to power the Gators by the Sundevils.

Jinger Meuir caught both of Sigala’s TD passes.

Foothill 25, Basic 13 — At Basic, Renee Richie caught four passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns and supplied an interception return for a score as the Falcons downed the Wolves.

Quarterback Jadyn McArthur threw for 133 yards and two TDs, and Marissa Bracket rushed for 66 yards and a score for Foothill.

Centennial 33, Virgin Valley 24 — At Mesquite, Aliyah Wyrick ran for two touchdowns and caught a scoring pass from Kiana Sai as Centennial rallied from an 18-13 halftime deficit to top Virgin Valley.

Ashley Marshall and Talie Bonds also rushed for touchdowns for Centennial.

Quarterback Kallie Graves had a hand in all four of Virgin Valley’s touchdowns.

Mojave 32, Western 13 — At Western, the Rattlers downed the Warriors.
