VOLLEYBALL: Palo Verde rallies from two-set deficit to down Arbor View

Grant Tingey had eight kills and six blocks to help Palo Verde’s boys volleyball team rally for a 19-25, 26-28, 27-25, 25-19, 15-11 road win over Arbor View on Monday.

Scott Solan added seven kills and six blocks, and Stephen Banks had nine kills for the Panthers, who also got 16 digs from Zach Nelson.

Treven Clizbe led Arbor View with 26 kills and 15 digs. Brenden Wagner had 28 kills and eight digs, Andrew Wagner had 11 digs, and Carson Driscoll dished out 60 assists for the Aggies.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Valley 2 — At Valley, Emerald Acasili had 10 kills to lead the Miners to a 23-25, 25-23, 14-25, 25-21, 15-9 victory over the Vikings.

Pedro Morales added eight kills, and Trevor White had five kills for Sunrise Mountain. Elijah Bright added 12 digs for the Miners.

Mel Dinogan led Valley with 10 assists and five aces. Juan De Dios-Magana had nine kills for the Vikings.

Shadow Ridge 3, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Shadow Ridge, C.J. McInnis had 37 assists, seven digs and five blocks to lift the Mustangs to a 25-16, 20-25, 26-24, 25-11 win over the Spartans.

Brenton Justice added six kills, five digs and two blocks, and Zach Fedinec had seven kills for Shadow Ridge.

Erick Forbush led Cimarron with 14 kills and seven digs. Edher Aldaco notched 32 assists and seven digs, and Jameson Valencia had 10 kills and two digs for the Spartans.

Foothill 3, Silverado 0 — At Foothill, Tanner Lester had 14 kills and nine digs to lead the Falcons to a 25-19, 25-23, 25-18 sweep of the Skyhawks.

Richard Reid added 12 kills, one ace and three digs, and Caleb Stearman had 29 assists and 12 digs for the Falcons.

Jaden Keomaka led Silverado with 10 kills and seven digs. Sean Borla had seven kills, three aces and eight digs, and Cody Steckel had three kills, 25 assists and 12 digs for the Skyhawks.

Green Valley 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, James Reed put down 24 kills in the Gators’ 25-9, 25-21, 25-17 win over the Patriots.

Tanner Webb added eight kills, and Michael Soha had six kills for Green Valley, which also got two aces and 13 digs from Zachary Fedarko.

Lucas Husli had seven kills and nine digs, and Hugo Hernandez had 17 assists, one ace, eight digs and two blocks for the Patriots.

Centennial 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Kade Frischknecht had 18 kills and five aces in the Bulldogs’ 25-10, 25-15, 25-13 win over the Longhorns.

Sam Belnap dished out 31 assists, and Justin Madsen added six kills for Centennial.

Kaipo Butac-Mabry had five kills, two digs and two blocks, and Chriss Quezada had 13 digs for Legacy.

Coronado 3, Basic 0 — At Coronado, Stuart White had 11 kills and three blocks to help the Cougars to a 25-19, 25-14, 25-23 win over the Wolves.

Matt Wilson added 42 assists and seven digs, and Nik Purser had nine kills and nine digs for Coronado.

Matt Gajeski had four kills, 22 assists, one ace and one block to lead Basic. Jacob Fulton had five kills and four blocks, and C.J. Perkins had 18 digs for the Wolves.

Bishop Gorman 3, Rancho 1 — At Rancho, the Gaels defeated the Rams, 25-16, 28-26, 15-25, 25-13.

Brennan Berti led Rancho with six kills, two aces and three blocks, and teammate Jesus Gonzalez had 12 assists and five digs.
