VOLLEYBALL: Desert Oasis defeats Spartans in four sets

Billy Cameron had 23 kills, and Joshua Sadama dished out 20 assists Tuesday to help Desert Oasis’ boys volleyball team to a 28-26, 12-25, 25-20, 25-22 win at Cimarron-Memorial.

Tyler Sadama had 17 assists, and Bryson Sadama added 14 digs for the Diamondbacks, who got nine kills from Jacob Dufour.

Erick Forbush had nine kills and three blocks, and Cody Brown had 14 digs for the Spartans, who got 11 digs and three aces from Brayan Pacheco.

Chaparral 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, Isai Barrios had 15 kills to lead the Cowboys to a 23-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-17 win over the Jaguars.

Ezequiel Borrero had eight kills, and Ever Favela added 21 digs for Chaparral, which got 11 digs from Cesar Mendoza.

Estanislao Lansangan had 10 kills, 19 assists and 13 digs to pace Desert Pines. Ortega Wiltz had 11 kills, and Carlos Flores added nine kills and 25 digs for the Jaguars.

Green Valley 3, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Dustin Elliott had 16 kills and seven digs to power the Gators to a 25-22, 25-14, 25-15 win over the Rams.

James Reed added 15 kills and six digs, and teammate Chase Larson had five kills for Green Valley.

Douglas Candido dished out 28 assists, and Jeffrey Camal had 14 digs to pace Rancho.

Coronado 3, Eldorado 0 — At Coronado, Drew Hamlin and Ben Truman each had eight kills to lead the Cougars to a 25-12, 25-14, 25-12 win over the Sundevils.

Matt Wilson dished out 22 assists for Coronado.

Foothill 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Zachary Thompson had 11 kills and two blocks, and Tyler Jacob added 10 kills to help the Falcons to a 25-19, 25-18, 25-15 sweep of the Wolves.

Shilo Chow had seven kills, 28 assists and five blocks, and Troy Bell added 15 digs and two aces for Foothill.

Jackson Callister had seven kills, and Matt Gajeski dished out 19 assists for Basic.

Tech 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Tech, Julius Barnes had 12 assists and five aces to lead the Roadrunners to a 25-12, 25-13, 25-22 sweep of the Miners.

Gary Johnson added five kills and two blocks for Tech.

Nemesis McKenzie had two kills, nine assists and seven digs, and teammate Bobby Brass had six kills for Sunrise Mountain.

Del Sol 3, Word of Life 0 — At Del Sol, Alec Montemayor had 28 assists and nine aces to lead the Dragons to a 25-10, 25-11, 25-6 sweep of the Eagles.

Blane Quitog put down 18 kills, and Anthony Nehme had 10 kills for Del Sol.

Jarrett Fisher had four digs and two kills for Word of Life.

Centennial 3, Arbor View 0 — At Centennial, Treven Clizbe and Brenden Wagner each had 14 kills to lead the Aggies to a 25-21, 25-13, 25-18 victory over the Bulldogs.

Brenden Gougeon added 29 assists, and Michael Prescia had eight digs for Arbor View, which got five kills from Tyreese Cole.
