VOLLEYBALL: Adair helps Bonanza rally past Arbor View in five sets

Robby Adair had 25 kills and 11 digs Thursday as Bonanza’s boys volleyball team rallied for a 25-21, 15-25, 12-25, 25-23, 17-15 win at Arbor View.

Luis Raygoza dished out 42 assists, and Manny Salazar had nine kills and three blocks for the Bengals. Bronson Duckworth added eight kills and seven digs for Bonanza.

Brenden Wagner had 32 kills, and Treven Clizbe added 23 kills for the Aggies. Brenden Gougeon had 55 assists, and Michael Prescia contributed 33 digs for Arbor View, which got 17 digs from Jake Reid.

Coronado 3, Basic 1 — At Basic, Ryan Garlick had 14 kills and four blocks, and Nick Purser added 12 kills and two blocks as the Cougars defeated the Wolves, 25-15, 28-26, 23-25, 25-13.

Trey Hunter had 11 kills, and Justice Balanay-Flores had 39 assists for Coronado, which got 17 digs from Nathan Gerard.

Brad McDonald paced Basic with 17 kills. Matt Gajeski had 33 assists, and J.J. Cabero served three aces for Basic.

Foothill 3, Green Valley 0 — At Foothill, Shilo Chow had 29 assists, eight kills and six digs to lead the Falcons to a 25-22, 25-20, 25-15 victory over the Gators.

Troy Bell added 16 digs for Foothill, which got eight kills apiece from Tyler Jacob and Mason Hansen.

Jordan Ellis had 28 assists for Green Valley.

Centennial 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Centennial, Justin Dietrich had 12 kills to help the Bulldogs to a 25-18, 25-19, 25-20 win over the Spartans.

Grant Nelson had 19 assists and seven digs, and Antwan Smith added four kills for Centennial.

Erick Forbush had eight kills, and Jameson Valencia had three kills and 21 digs for Cimarron, which got 13 digs from Cody Brown.

Desert Pines 3, Del Sol 0 — At Desert Pines, Estanislao Lansangan had 18 assists, 13 digs and three aces to lead the Jaguars to a 25-16, 25-12, 25-18 sweep of the Dragons.

Ortega Wiltz put down 11 kills, and Carlos Ortiz added seven kills for Desert Pines.

Alec Monetemayor had 38 assists, and teammate Blaine Quitog supplied nine kills and five assists for Del Sol.

Rancho 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Lamont Traylor had 19 kills, 24 digs and two blocks to lead the Rams to a 25-18, 25-5, 25-17 win over the Sundevils.

Brennan Berti had eight kills and two blocks, and Tristan King added seven kills and four digs for Rancho.

Vitaleme Alphonse led Eldorado with eight kills and four blocks.

Chaparral 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Chaparral, Cesar Mendoza had 21 kills to help the Cowboys to a 25-23, 25-19, 25-9 win over the Miners.

Isai Barrios had 20 kills, and Ever Favela added six digs for Chaparral.
