BOYS VOLLEYBALL: Peterson, Mustangs top Falcons

Quinn Peterson had 12 kills, nine digs and four blocks on Thursday to lead Shadow Ridge’s boys volleyball team to a 16-25, 25-16, 26-24, 25-22 home win over Foothill.

N.J. Makaiwi added 31 assists, three kills and two aces, and Jacob Ludwig had 10 kills and two blocks for the Mustangs, who got 16 digs from A.J. Makaiwi.

Shilo Chow had 28 assists, three aces and 14 digs for the Falcons. Steve Robison had nine kills, six digs and three aces, and Ryan Briggs had seven kills for Foothill, which got six kills and four blocks from Branson Diaz.

Valley 3, Del Sol 0 — At Valley, Marty Heavey had 11 kills, two aces and four digs to lead the Vikings to a 25-11, 25-19, 25-21 sweep of the Dragons.

Jared Marchello added eight kills, and Alex Sandoval had four kills, 25 assists and three aces for Valley.

La’akea Cabanas led Del Sol with six kills, six aces and seven assists, and teammate Jared Moreda recorded five kills, five digs and two blocks.

Basic 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Basic, Wyatt Williams had 21 assists as the Wolves downed the Spartans, 25-4, 25-16, 25-17.

Brad McDonald also had five kills for Basic.

Erick Forbush had four kills and two aces to lead the Spartans, and Robert Gilliam had two kills and three blocks for Cimarron.
