Rain washes out Saturday tennis slate, pushes finals to Tuesday
For the second straight day, rain forced the postponement of all region tennis individual quarterfinals Saturday.
The Sunrise Region, Sunset Region, and Division I-A Southern Region tournaments all were scheduled to end Monday, but will continue until Tuesday.
Quarterfinals and semifinals for the boys and girls singles and doubles flights in all regions will take place Monday at Darling Tennis Center and The Meadows. Championships and third-place matches will be held Tuesday at the Darling center.
Play-in matches for the final team berths in the Division I state tournament remain scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, and individual play-ins for Division I will be held Wednesday.
The state tournaments in Division I and I-A both begin Thursday.
