BOYS SOCCER: Bishop Gorman wins Smoky Mountain Cup in Tennessee

Cobi DeLeon scored twice for the Bishop Gorman boys soccer team as the Gaels took down Lexington Catholic (Ky.) 4-1 to win the Smoky Mountain Cup in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, on Saturday.

Gorman scored three goals in the first half to pull away, including both of DeLeon’s and one from Hayden Madsen. Jeffrey Wright had the final Gorman goal in the second half.

Corrigan Neville, Justin Rasmussen, Parker Whitehair and Alexander Daseler all had an assist for the Gaels.

Bishop Gorman 4, Bowling Green (Ky.) 2 — At Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the Gaels overcame a 2-0 halftime deficit behind Justin Rasmussen’s two goals to rally against Bowling Green and win 4-2 in the Smoky Mountain Cup.

Corrigan Neville and Alexander Daseler also had goals for the Gaels.

Rasmussen and Cobi DeLeon had Gorman’s assists.
