BOYS BASKETBALL: Traylor, Bulldogs erase double-digit deficit to top Panthers in OT

Darrian Traylor scored 29 points Tuesday as Centennial’s boys basketball team overcame an early double-digit deficit to nip host Palo Verde, 87-85 in overtime.

Troy Brown added 28 points for the Bulldogs, who trailed 32-19 after one quarter and rallied from a 65-58 deficit after three quarters.

Roy Sparks scored 14, and Garrett Scheer had 10 points for Centennial.

Ja Morgan had 27 points and eight assists for the Panthers.

Grant Dressler added 16 points and 12 rebounds, and appeared to win the game for Palo Verde with a three-quarter court heave at the regulation buzzer, but after a conference, officials waved off the shot.

Connor Lemmon and Taylor Miller each scored 17 for Palo Verde. Miller missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer at the overtime buzzer.

Eldorado 54, Silverado 53 — At Eldorado, Shane Barnes hit 1 of 2 free throws with 1.7 seconds to play to lift the Sundevils over the Skyhawks.

Carl Crayon scored 22 points to lead Eldorado, which led 33-18 at the half. Barnes added 12 points for the Sundevils.

Michael Larson led Silverado with 22 points, and teammate Jireh Johnson scored 15.

Shadow Ridge 57, Arbor View 56 — At Shadow Ridge, Melvin Johnson scored 11 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter, including the game-winning free throws with 14 seconds left, to help the Mustangs nip the Aggies.

Brett Meci had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Jerell Springer supplied 13 points for Shadow Ridge, which outscored Arbor View 19-14 in the fourth quarter.

Arbor View’s Trent Hunt led all scorers with 28 points. Quemaree Harris scored 10 for the Aggies.

Rancho 74, Desert Oasis 68 — At Rancho, David McKeever scored 31 points to help the Rams top the Diamondbacks.

Ciriman Keita had 13 points, and Lamont Traylor contributed eight points and 11 rebounds for Rancho. Chrys Jackson and Zhaire Newton each scored 10 for the Rams.

Andrue Aguilera finished with 18 points to lead Desert Oasis, which got 15 points from Aamondae Coleman.

Las Vegas 74, Coronado 65 — At Coronado, Tyler Bey scored a game-high 36 points to rally the Wildcats by the Cougars.

Patrick Savoy added 16 points, and Devon Colley scored 13 for Las Vegas, which outscored Coronado 44-33 in the last two quarters.

Nick Kornieck had 19 points, and teammate Matt Johnson scored 11 for Coronado.

Basic 68, Liberty 55 — At Basic, Jared Meacham had 25 points, six rebounds, seven assists and five steals to power the Wolves to the win over the Patriots.

Jaimen Williams added 16 points for Basic, which outscored Liberty 24-10 in the second quarter to take a 40-21 halftime lead.

Liberty’s Tai Senor led all scorers with 34 points.

Valley 83, Green Valley 63 — At Green Valley, Darrion Daniels led five players in double figures with 18 points as the Vikings stormed past the Gators.

Cameron Burton had 15 points, Shea Garland had 14 points and Taveon Jackson scored 13 for Valley, which also got 11 points from Nick Brannon.

Romello Jones led Green Valley with 15 points and eight rebounds. Kelvin Omojola added 12 points and seven assists, and Dominick Pontoni scored 10 for the Gators.

Durango 83, Cimarron-Memorial 55 — At Durango, Michael Diggins had 19 points and nine rebounds to lead the Trailblazers to an easy win over the Spartans.

Alex Tarkanian scored 15 points, and Victor Ross added 11 points and 12 rebounds for Durango, which got 12 points and eight assists from Demetrius Valdez.

Kieron Hatchett and Deondrick Nicholson each scored 13 points for Cimarron.

Bonanza 76, Legacy 63 — At Legacy, Jamal Logan poured in 31 points as the Bengals downed the Longhorns.

DaVonta Price added 22 points for Bonanza.

Brody Olsenslager had 20 points to lead Legacy. Edward Vaughn added 16 points, and Shakir Arrey scored 11 for the Longhorns.

Needles 51, Lake Mead 29 — At Needles, Victor Ochoa led all scorers with 17 points as the Mustangs ran by the Eagles.

Trenton Poe-Evans had 11 points and nine rebounds, and Cody Tobler added eight points and eight rebounds for Needles, which led 40-19 after three quarters.

Garion Glenn scored eight points for Lake Mead.

Adelson School 82, Calvary Chapel 64 — At Adelson, Rom Izkovich led four players in double figures with 25 points to lead Adelson School to victory.

Jake Buchman had 15 points, Jacob Elharrar had 14 points and Ben Elharrar scored 12 for Adelson, which led 39-29 at halftime

Matthew Harney had 17 points, and teammate Jake Berdan scored 12 for Calvary Chapel.

Laughlin 47, Indian Springs 38 — At Indian Springs, Corey Anderson scored 16 points as the Cougars defeated the Thunderbirds.

Michael Bishop added 11 points for Laughlin, which outscored Indian Springs 12-4 in the second quarter to take a 22-16 halftime lead.

Sebastian Smith led Indian Springs with 10 points, and teammate Gabe Brownotter scored nine.
