BASEBALL: Mustangs hand Gaels first league loss

Eric Jordan went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, and Shadow Ridge’s baseball team rallied from an early four-run deficit to upend visiting Bishop Gorman 11-7 on Tuesday.

Winning pitcher Isaiah Blaylock was 1-for-2 with a home run and four RBIs for the Mustangs, who used a six-run third inning to wipe out a 6-2 deficit.

Trevin Reynolds was 2-for-3 with two runs, and Koby Millner was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Shadow Ridge.

Marques Paige and Braxton Wehrle each went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Gaels, who suffered their first loss in Division I Sunset League play.

Desert Oasis 3, Arbor View 2 — At Desert Oasis, Bryson Stott scored the go-ahead run on Isaiah Raiano’s hard-hit ball to second base in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Diamondbacks nipped the Aggies.

Stott led off the bottom of the sixth with a double and advanced to third on Brett Brocoff’s grounder before scoring on Raiano’s grounder.

Nic Lane went 2-for-3 for Desert Oasis.

Nick Quintana had a two-run home run for Arbor View.

Centennial 9, Bonanza 3 — At Centennial, Garrett Holden was 3-for-3 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs as the Bulldogs pounded out 19 hits and downed the Bengals.

Austin Kryszczuk was 4-for-5 with a double and a run, and Frank Sessa went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Centennial. Winning pitcher Hayden Rosenkrantz struck out nine in five innings and went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs.

Torren Brozovich was 2-for-3 for Bonanza.

Palo Verde 14, Legacy 2 — At Palo Verde, Ryan Merino went 1-for-3 with a double, a run and two RBIs to help the Panthers top the Longhorns in five innings.

Sam Powers was 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs, and Chandler Kochan went 2-for-3 for Palo Verde.

Hayden LeCates was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Legacy.

Spring Valley 11, Clark 1 — At Clark, Nick Rupp struck out seven with no walks and no earned runs as the Grizzlies downed the Chargers in five innings.

Bryce Bullock was 3-for-3, and teammates Jaxson Otis and Dominick Souder each drove in two runs for Spring Valley.

Mathias Blodgett went 2-for-2 to lead Clark.

Faith Lutheran 13, Mojave 3 — At Faith Lutheran, Joshua Harmonay went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs and two RBIs as the Crusaders defeated the Rattlers in five innings.

Nate McLaurin went 4-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, and Sagan Gronauer was 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs for Faith Lutheran.

Otto Hernandez went 2-for-3 for Mojave.

Pahrump Valley 11, Cheyenne 0 — At Pahrump, Shelton Cajudoy homered and had five RBIs, and Kyle Kral threw a four-hit shutout as the Trojans blanked the Desert Shields in five innings.

Cajudoy hit a three-run homer as part of Pahrump Valley’s five-run first inning and finished 2-for-3. Parker Hart went 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs, and Drew Walker was 2-for-3 with two runs for the Trojans.

Kral struck out six and allowed one walk.

Angelo Hallenback went 2-for-3 with a double to lead Cheyenne. David Rose added a double for the Desert Shields.

Sierra Vista 13, Western 0 — At Sierra Vista, Blake Kaplan and Christian Iafrate combined on a five-inning one-hitter as the Mountain Lions blanked the Warriors.

Kaven Alferez was 2-for-2 for Sierra Vista, which scored 10 runs in the first inning.

Lake Mead 18, Laughlin 5 — At Heritage Park, Mitch Dolinar had two hits and three RBIs to help the Eagles rout the Cougars in five innings.

Brock Ramsay added two hits, and Joseph Johnson had four RBIs for Lake Mead.

Coda Abbati had two hits for Laughlin.

Pahranagat Valley 17, Virgin Valley 2 — At Alamo, winning pitcher Christian Higbee went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs and threw a five-inning two-hitter to lead the Panthers by the Buldogs.

Ike Taylor was 1-for-2 with a triple, three runs and two RBIs for Pahranagat Valley.

Pahranagat Valley 11, Virgin Valley JV 7 — At Alamo, Duston Stewart went 3-for-4 with a grand slam, a double and five RBIs to lead the Panthers by the Bulldogs’ junior varsity in five innings

Asher Haworth was 2-for-2 with an RBI for Pahranagat Valley.

Mineral County 19, Tonopah 18 — At Tonopah, the Serpents defeated the Muckers.
