BASEBALL: Centennial slips past Cimarron on Kian Wilbur’s two-run double in 7th

Kian Wilbur hit a two-run double in the top of the seventh inning Friday to lift Centennial’s baseball team to a 4-3 road win over Cimarron-Memorial.

Kyle Horton’s two-run homer in the sixth pulled the Bulldogs within a run.

Horton also pitched six strong innings to get the win. He allowed three runs on seven hits with five strikeouts.

Gino Sabey went 3-for-5 with a run, and Brett Berger was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Centennial.

Lasith Narasinghe was 3-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI for Cimarron.

Legacy 5, Faith Lutheran 3 — At Legacy, Anthony Lomeli scored on an error in the bottom of the fifth to break a 3-3 tie as the Longhorns defeated the Crusaders.

Diego Portillo was 1-for-3 with a triple and two runs, and Willie Valdez-Grijalva went 1-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI for Legacy.

Johnny Ball allowed one hit in three scoreless innings of relief to get the win.

Faith Lutheran’s Paulshawn Pasqualotto was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI, and Jeremy Aguirre went 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs for the Crusaders.

Arbor View 6, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Arbor View, Austin Pfeiffer’s two-run single highlighted a five-run fifth inning as the Aggies beat the Mustangs.

Jesse Pierce was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI for Arbor View.

Jackson Sproul allowed two runs on five hits in five innings to get the win. He struck out eight with two walks. Pfeiffer struck out three in two hitless innings of relief.

Bryson Barnes was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Shadow Ridge.

Las Vegas 2, Valley 0 — At Las Vegas, Noel Perez fired a three-hit shutout to give the Wildcats the win over the Vikings.

Perez finished with nine strikeouts.

Trey Chauncey went 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Las Vegas.

Valley’s Bryce Cowin tossed strong six innings and allowed five hits and only two runs.

Justice Santiago went 2-for-3 for the Vikings.

Foothill 5, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Andrew Hauck fired a one-hitter as the Falcons topped the Sundevils.

Hauck struck out nine and walked two. He allowed a two-out single to Tony Sanchez in the fourth inning.

Anthony Pannullo was 2-for-3 with a run to lead the Foothill offense.

Boulder City 6, Tech 2 — At Boulder City, Aaron Kehoe went 2-for-2 with a run to help the Eagles top the Roadrunners.

Rhett Armstrong scored twice, and Sean Jones and Nolan Herr each drove in two runs for Boulder City.

Armstrong also pitched five solid innings to get the victory. He allowed two runs on four hits and fanned five.

Del Sol 8, Virgin Valley 4 — At Del Sol, Tyler Foreman threw a complete game, striking out 12, to lead the Dragons past the Bulldogs.

Phil Talamo went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Del Sol.

Dallan Tanner tripled and drove in two runs to lead Virgin Valley.

Moapa Valley 6, Chaparral 4 — At Overton, Daxton Longman and Tyler Peterson each doubled to lead the Pirates past the Cowboys.

Jade Marshall gave up two runs on two hits to earn the win. Colby Longman allowed one run on one hit and fanned two to earn the save for the Pirates.

Quincy (Calif.) 11, Western 1 — At Reno, the Warriors lost to the Trojans in five innings at the Baseball Brawl.

Mineral County 9, Western 4— At Reno, the Warriors fell to the Serpents at the Baseball Brawl.
